We are an Apostolic Equipping Center

Our Leadership Team

  • Lee & Angela Vaughn  - Lead Pastors

They serve The FPCC family with a passion for the impossible. Having been married for 25 plus years, their marriage is nothing short of a modern day miracle.

Lee has served as a licensed minister in a predominate denomination for many years prior to planting Freedom Point. Lee and Angela are an Apostolic Voice for this region as well as our state and the nations. Their life purpose is to see Kingdom transformation on a global scale.

Lee and Angela Vaughn are the Senior Pastors of Freedom Point Community Church.

Both Lee and Angela share a passion to see the fulfilment of Mathew 6, “on Earth as in Heaven”, by parenting the generations to become mature Sons and Daughters of God.

Their hearts is to see all of creation receive what it yearns for; the true sons and daughters of our Father. We are all created with the very DNA of The Almighty. Now our responsibility is to father the generations from this reality.

They have one son and two daughters.

  • Paul & Rachel Metcalf - Ministry Leaders

Paul and Rachel’s lives can best be described as a prophetic romance. It was in January of 2002 when they were not even dating that a prophetic word was given to Rachel about her husband. They started dating a few months later. They have been married since 2003 and have a son named Abner.

Paul and Rachel were both raised in church. Rachel, as a teenager, would give her allowance to a missionary family. Years later her dream of going overseas became a reality. Paul at the age of 20 had an amazing encounter with the Holy Spirit that radically changed his life. He has traveled multiple times to Indonesia, India, the Philippines, Mexico, Guatemala and Nicaragua seeing the power of God displayed with signs, wonders, and miracles. He has also ministered in crusades and witnessed thousands accepting salvation.  Paul is an ordained minister with the Apostolic Network of Global Awakening founded by Randy Clark.

Their vision is to see true kingdom cultural transformation sweep across America and around the world. They have a passion to see people have radical encounters with God and out of those encounters bring others into a life changing encounter as well. They have a burning desire to awaken a generation to the reality that the Kingdom of God is at hand.

His unique style of worship leading engages participants to behold the wonder, beauty, and supernatural power of the Lord.  A storyteller at heart, Shawn’s songs unite biblical narrative with prophetic proclamation and passionate intercession.

Shawn currently ministers itinerantly around the globe leading worship and speaking in weekend meetings, conferences, and missions. He previously served as worship pastor for nearly 9 years in Birmingham, Alabama.  Shawn, his lovely wife Allison, and son Cash reside in Alabama.

Our Vision

Freedom Point Community Church was birthed out of a hunger to see and experience the manifest presence of God on a more intimate level. We believe we have entered into a season of reformation where the church can no longer remain the same if it wants to see true kingdom cultural transformation.  Our vision is Freedom:  Spirit, Soul and Body.  How do we do this?  First, we create a place for people  to encounter and experience the culture of Heaven.  We create this culture by the following avenues.

1. Nights of worship to help usher people into a deeper experience and encounter with the love of God.

2. Freedom weekends designed to help people grow in their personal journey with the Lord though the avenues of teaching  and impartation.

3. Equipping nights to help people grow in the gifts of the Spirit and move more proficiently in these areas.

Not only are we committed to raising up sons and daughters who are completely free in every area of life, we are also committed to seeing freedom launched out from our region and  go around the world.  We do this by engaging our sphere of society on three levels.

1.  Local level:  We will minister to our community through evangelism outreach, serve days to both neighborhoods and city council and prophetic prayer over our city.

2.  Regional level:  Connecting with other churches and ministries that while not in the same stream, we  have the same heart for seeing true kingdom culture transformation.

3.  Global:  We are committed to making disciples of all nations.  We will yearly send out teams in a wide range of settings for the furtherance of the Gospel of the Kingdom.  We are also committed to supporting missionaries who are indeed producing fruit in these nations.

Core Values

1. Presence

The greatest honor we have as sons and daughters is to pursue the presence of God and out of that pursuit, we enter into an intimate relationship with Him and are known as friends of God.

2. Community

In order to sustain the presence of God, a community of believers is being established building upon covenant relationship with one another.

3. Authenticity

Authenticity is defined as undisputed origin or authorship. Our heartbeat is that we truly reflect the character and nature of Father God in every part of our beings.

4. Purity

Because of the finished work of Christ, we have been set free from the law of sin and death. Therefore, our new nature is one that walks and lives in purity and holiness.

5. Wholeness

It is Father's desire that His sons and daughters experience complete healing in their spirit, soul, and body.

6. Honor

When a culture of honor is established within a local community of believers, each person celebrates the calling and gifting of the other and prefers that person above themselves.

7. Unity

Jesus prayed that we would be one as He is one with the Father. The synergy of the oneness with Him, His purposes, and one another, release the greater power of unity.

8. Integrity

We are to live out the truth of the Word of God humbly and consistently in love, in moral, financial, and relational matters.
